Can anyone tell me how the care for Coleonyx compares to that of not a banded gecko? Specifically I want to know about Coleonyx Elegans. Where are they found naturally? I would also like to know about species native to the Western United States. I want to learn all that I can about Coleonyx before I try to keep one. Might you be able to help me? It has never been a great eater (1-2 small crickets per week). It initially ate 2 at a time and is now only eating one a week if I am lucky. It is getting skinnier and has never had a fat tail like some photos I have seen or my not a banded gecko gecko. I assume it wants to hibernate but I am reluctant to due to its state.
